What The?

It ain't all what you  ever expect
God just does what he thinks is right
It don't matter what you think
Just bow down and take the drink
My body and the blood
It's the one good thing
Try it now take the fling
Everyone who partakes
Will certainly make
The Pearly Gates ...Await
It don't matter to me what  you believe
Just Don't wait it's getting late
Jesus Christ the first and the last
Alpha ,Omega what a blast
The only one who died and rose
Lazarus too who knew him too
He Took the ride and is smiling wide
Just believe and and be relieved
and your gray matter will
will be much fatter.

Jesus

" Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me."

If you want to find out the truth...    ..find Jesus.

If you want to see....take take the plank out of your own eye first.

If you want to become great...become least, be a servant.

If you want to become rich....become poor first.

"What is the work of God?"  That you believe in the one who sent me!"

Want to worry less?   "Take no thought of what you shall eat, what you shall wear, or what you shall drink, is not the body more than this?"  Your heavenly Father knows, what you need,  you are worth more than a sparrow and a sparrow does not fall to the ground without God noticing."

Show us the Father!  Have I been with you so long, and you do not know me?"  If you have seen me, then you have seen the Father."    Before Abaham was.......

                                                              I Am

My Father's House:

John: (Sitting up in bed, waking)..."Oh come on!  Not again!"

Martha: (Lying by his side) "John! What's the matter?"

John.  "I'm still here again, evertyhing still the same."

Martha: "Of course it's still the same!  What are you talking about?"

John: "Well I want to be in my Father's house!"

Martha: " Well you married me, remember? What you want to go home again?"

John: "No, No, No! You don't understand!"  Everyday it's same and I wake up here with you!"

Martha: "Well. thanks a lot!"

John:  "No, I do love you, that's not what I  mean!"

Martha, "Then What?  Are  you dreaming?"

John: " No I don't think so.  It's just that I know things are different in my Father's house!"

Martha: " Of course it is, you didn't have me!"

John: " No I mean life, everday I wake up here and it's the same struggle all over again."

Martha: " Look John, YOU keep talking like this, I'm outta here, gotta go to work!"

John: " No, it's not you. It's me! I know deep down things were supposed to be very different!  Being married is great, but all the other things, they just seem  out of whack!"  Can't explain it, just know it inside!"

Martha: " Okay, Okay, I get it your seeking a higher plane!"  Here we go again.....La, La Shangri La!

John: " YOU needn't mock me! It's true, Believe me, you'll see. One day I'll wake up and I'll be there! I want you there with me too."

Martha:  "Where?"

John: I told you, My Father's house! In there it's all done. It's prepared already, that's what a Father does, he prepares for his own!"

Martha: "Sigh"....... " I'm going to work!" See ya later Okay?  Wake up!"

John: " Martha I'm not crazy, one day I'll be in my Fathers's house and I won't be looking at just these walls around here.  there will be many walls, many rooms!  I can wake up in a different one everyday!  Won't that be great!"

Martha:" Text me when you get there!  Bye!"

John: (sound)...... Whoosh!......... (gone)

Martha:" John!" &*()#@%_+!01-hangover-290212-de.jpg (500×375)

"Man does not live on bread alone, but by every word out of the mouth of God"

So said Jesus, after being tempted by the Devil after 40 days of fasting and hunger in a dry and desolate place, the desert.
If we distill the very esssence of this statement of Jesus, then we must assume( if we believe), that there is a "Word" out there and it is God's!  There are many words out there but the ones that are "needful and necessary" to sustain life  are the ones we must hear.  Say for example, Jesus failed to hear the Father's voice his word and daily leading, what would have been the outcome?  He would have eaten the bread of the Devil, instead of the Word of God and we would not have the precious Savior we do have now and every day we as Christians avail ourselves of to lead and guide.  It is especially necessary and needful today because there are many words that we are bombarded with daily that fail to deliver what they promise.  People I believe live day to day eating tidbits of life, instead of the feast promised in his word.  We search daily for those things that promise to give health, increase age, heal, give hope and just about anything that offers what we need....security in a world without it.  "Hope is the essence of things not seen, so Paul, preached on,  Think people needed hope in Nero's time?  And if they were Christians all the more so.
The very nature of evil (and the one who is called and the Father of lies and a thief from the beginning (The Devil still steals today).  It is no myth and  are we now too modern and to advanced to believe such things,? But take a look at the heart of man.
I think people in America do have a dream and every day the average person works to attain it and in so doing exhausts themselves in trying to apprehend it and like water, it slips through our fingers.  Money, time, and energy seem to always beckon us and wear us out.  Pursuing words that are empty and hold no permanent value.  Sure Jesus could have eaten right then and there in the Desert that was devoid of all things of life, except he didn't an kept his frame of mind and the Devil went away empty.
As Christians we sift through our daily lives and we pray to the one who  offers a better word and a more necessary and needful one and we eat of his body, (think sacraments) and we can be sustained with an eternal frame of mind instead of a material and here and now frame of mind.
If a Church and a body of believers do not do these things, and listen for the word out of the mouth of God, do not go with them.  Promises apart from those things, preached in the Gospel or anything else added to it to enhance it or make it more tasteful is not necessary or needed.   Music is nice, schools are good, activities are fun, but if that is all Church has become a place to go to on a Sunday or Saturday or Wednesday night and the heart is left in the Desert hungry.....then it was not needful nor was it necessay.
What was the Cross for anyway?  For our pleasure?  NO it was for Salvation from and enemy kingdom, darkness, death, lies, empty promises, and Sin that separated us from the Word of life.   Jesus reversed all of that and so we have an obligation to find his word and his life and tell others of it and find the Daily bread that will sustain us in a world that is increasingly evil and hard to live in.  Too much disparity too many words.       If anyone took the time to re-read the transcript of Benjamin Nenanyahu's speech about the threats he and his country faces... annihilation...  that is sobering.  His words cut to the bone and I don't believe for one minute he is fooled by the regimes in and around him.  They want to destroy.  That is what the Devil does.
The very first temptation were words, " surely you will not die?  Prophet-Elias-Bread-Desert.jpg (320×225)

At some point: this train is leaving the station!

13 I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body, 14 because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.15 And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.

?????? What is Peter saying?  Casually.......! he is affirming his death!! like leaving on a trip!! By train... Departure?? tent?  Sounds easy!  We who in this American society hold so dearly onto life and find every way possible to extend, refresh, unwrinkle, preserve and undo death.  It's just not possible.  And we cringe when death is near or near to ones we love.  And yet Peter is calmly affirming his departure, perhaps knowing in his heart he was to suffer like his Messiah.  But he tells all of his Churches in Asia to continue in the Faith.
To be sure the times he lived in were violent (think Nero) lions and the like.  But he rather affrims the Kingdom to come and strongly suggests that what is to come in the eternal is far greater than what is now present.  Sounds good.  Compare our times also..... Isis, Boko Haram, Houthis, Separatists,  and the gazillion factions in the Middle East! Ours is a violent world too and it is escalating also.  Fire is consuming and it spreads without control.

So choose door No. 1,2, or 3! from the price is right!  Door No. 1 is all things material. Door No 2 is counterfeit kingdoms.  And behind door No. 3!  A chance to depart this kingdom we live in daily with strife, violence, hatred, malice, and theivery in high places.  Preached by one who came from the dead, firstborn of it...and promised things better than  what is here..  Can we believe it? Thy kingdom come.....thy will be done on Earth as in Heaven.....surely there is war in the heavenlies as Daniel was told by the Angel Gabriel, fighting on his behalf. But who is the General!     And can we follow the one who liberates, feeds, heals, and gives hope to countless generations?  We all decide which track the trains runs on,and what door to choose..... price-is-right.jpg (492×273)

The Kingdom of Heaven is Like:

like seed scattered along a path, rocky soil, and weeds,

like wheat and tares,

like a mustard seed,

like hidden treasure and a pearl

like a net let down and catching all manner of fish good and bad

10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”
11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you,but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:
“Though seeing, they do not see;

This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

This is the essence of the Gospel nothing more and nothing less.  It is unchanged since the early days of preaching.  What has changed are men's interpretation and their presentation of it.  Some promise all sorts of things not present in the Gospels.

Prosperity doctrines, to name the biggie.  All manner of churches are in this country producing programs, events, teachings on doctrines (questionable) that can be manipulated by those in areas of influence.  So what is the essence of what Christ preached?

 Refer to the verses above:

The kingdom is precious like a pearl.

The kingdom is like a field with weeds capable of choking out the new gospel just received.

The kingdom is like a mustard seed, small but huge in it's capability to produce thousand fold.

The kingdom is like a net, catching everything in it's drop, letting go that which is bad.

The kingdom is like a path scattered with seeds of truth, accepted or not depending on the condition of the heart.....................

Finally Christ's words:

Who ever has, will be given more ( those who have accepted the secrets of the kingdom)
Who ever has less....it will be taken...the judgement and rejection of Christ will in fact cause those who have much in this world to be taken from.
